Available light cinema club

Available Light Cinema Club is a grassroots film organization based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, founded and operated by three dedicated volunteers. We host monthly screenings that highlight diverse, challenging, and underseen films from around the world, providing a space for seasoned cinephiles and the curious uninitiated alike to discover, discuss, and celebrate great works of art.

Our events are designed to foster curiosity and community, encouraging audiences to engage with cinema in new and meaningful ways, no matter their background or prior exposure to art house film. With a strong emphasis on accessibility, warmth, and discovery, we aim to create a “micro-cinema” environment where conversation and connection are as important as the films themselves.

our goals

Expand Access to Experimental &
Arthouse Cinema

Create a regular, accessible space for Tulsa audiences to engage with underrepresented cinematic forms, including nontraditional narratives, global perspectives, and hybrid media.

Foster a
Cross-Disciplinary
Creative Community

Use film as a connective tissue between filmmakers, artists, and audiences by incorporating local talent into pre-screening lectures, post-film Q&As, and collaborative events that bridge art forms.

Encourage Inclusive and
Thoughtful Dialogue

Facilitate open, welcoming conversations around the themes, forms, and contexts of the films shown, inviting both seasoned cinephiles and newcomers to participate.
